A studies were carried out at the Seoul Medical Science Institute & Seoul Clinical Lab. (SCL) to determine reference values of total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol among healthy individuals who came to SCL for
annual
health check up. The mean±27.9mg/dL, 125.1±50.5mg/dL, 44.3±5.5mg/dL and 123.9±26.3mg/dL, respectively for men over 40 years of age(n=1952). In the women over 40 years of age(n=956), total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol and
LDL-choesterol
were 190.1±28.0mg/dL. 110.5±49.3mg/dL, 45.6±5.9mg/dL and 124.5±27.5mg/dL, respectively. For men with the age of 20~39 years(n=231), total cholesterol was 177.4±31.5 mg/dL, triglyceride was 11.7±46.8mg/dL, cholesterol was 43.75±5.2mg/dL and
LDL
cholesterol was 111.4±29.3mg/dL, respectively. whereas for women with the age of 20~39(n=152), total cholesterol was 173±28.1mg/dL, triglyceride was 78.6±35.3mg/dL, HDL cholesterol was 46.5±6.8mg/dL and LDL cholesterol was 111.0±27.3mg/dL,
respectively.
